This includes writers like Cameron Awkward-Rich, Molly McCully Brown, Gabrielle Calvocoressi, Marie Howe, Oscar Hijuelos, Nâzim Hikmet, Earl Lovelace, Patrick Rosal, and hundreds of others that the press has published since its founding. The value of such authors—and of the presses that support them—lies beyond the commercial: independent publishing is essential to how societies reflect, connect—and resist.
